NEMESIS

NEMESIS - DRAMATEN 2025

NEMESIS is a descent into the mythology of the outcasted – a dark, fragmented and formally maximalist performance about rage, loneliness, and the path toward violence. When Nemo finds his way into the underworld's revenge goddesses, the Erinyes, a disturbing logic sets in motion: from legitimate pain to the dream of annihilation. This is a performance about what happens when the feeling of invisibility becomes unbearable – and the internet offers a community that transforms humiliation into power.

Through the language of brainrot, Discord chats and TikTok aesthetics, the ancient collides with the contemporary: The voices of the manosphere is combined with the greek choirs ancient proclamations. Nemesis – the goddess of divine retribution and balance - is not just a figure from Greek mythology. She is the moral compass Nemo carries within himself, and which he ultimately drowns.

– The question is not whether Nemesis can be killed. The question is what is born in her place.

Press

"Scary good when Nemo meets the revenge goddesses"
SVD

"That an 80-minute performance manages to contain all of this is simply very good theatre work. That brainrot can lead to catharsis somehow gives hope."
Periskop.no

"Above all, the interplay between actors, light and sound is both tight and maxed out, and manages with the overtly theatrical lines to keep a middle school class – generation TikTok – captivated for 80 minutes"

Expressen

"Many horrors are spoken of in 'Nemesis', a drama about vulnerability, anger and revenge. Fortunately, there is also humour and a possible counterforce to evil."
SVD
